LED CEILING LIGHTS -COLOR KINETICS , one of our lead sponsor, have all been installed, a sure sign that the finishing line is getting closer. At inception of the process we underestimated the challenges we would be facing in deciding to exclusively use LED lights throughout the house. If successful, our home to our knowledge, will be the first one in the US to achieve this challenging technical feast. LED lights for home use are still expensive and not readily available. We believe however that in a few years prices will go down with demand while fixture choices will increase dramatically. At 12% of the energy required for incandescent lights and m 50 % more efficient than fluorescent options (and no mercury issues), the financial choice will soon become compelling.
